Ellhan
got no love
‘I’d describe myself as a house DJ and artist. I'm hoping I reach people who enjoy house music or just want to listen to something and have a good time. When I listen to house music, I don’t want to stop, and that’s something I want to emulate.’
Ellhan creates euphoric and mesmerizing house tracks. Blending stuttering vocal chops and souring synth melodies, Ellhan is beginning her dance music journey by reaching into the core of what house music is, creating tracks that echo the energy and emotional resonance of dance classics.
Influenced by recent dance pioneers like Fred Again, Ellhan came to Tonetic Records with an open mind, and through experimenting in the studio she has quickly developed a knack for dance production. She released her first track ‘First Glance’ independently after encouragement from her friends, who insisted they needed it on spotify. This motivated Ellhan to make more tracks, and after performing at Tonetic’s ‘Eternal Seasons’ showcase, she has now begun to explore DJing in Medway.
‘So for ‘got no love’ specifically, the vibe is like late night Ibiza. It’s the sort of song I imagine you’d hear as you’re getting to the end of the night.’
With her first EP already in the works, Ellhan releases her sophomore single, ‘got no love’ a slick and minimal house beat, incorporating echoing vocal chops that glide around mysterious synth arpeggios. The track is warm, understated and punchy. Ellhan balances a blend of darker elements, from minimal and acid house, with warmer bass and synth tones, to make something that ultimately still radiates a feel good energy.
